Southern Italy - October 31 to November 7, 2009
Oct 30: We flew Delta into Rome and picked up Hertz rental car Oct. 31: Drove from Rome to Hotel Olympico in Salerno
Hotel Olimpico, a beautiful resort on the Mediterranean Sea We rested here when our rental car blew up & had to be replaced

Nov. 2: Lecce is in the heal of Italy & is over 2,000 years old Lecce- We saw lots of locks like this all over Europe
Alberobello located near Bari and is famous for its Trulli houses Alberobello and its unique Trulli roofs

Monopoli town square near castle of St. Stephen Monopoli has a small port with delicious fish restaurants
Nov. 3: We stayed overnight in Bari, the capital city of Apulia Bari Harbor, near the old town
