Juneau, Alaska

Juneau is the largest capital city in the United States, in terms of acreage.  The city covers over 3,100 square miles.

Though cosmopolitan by Alaska's standards, Juneau is still full of small town frontier atmosphere, with a population of approximately 30,000.
